Na ter\u00e7a-feira, o parlamentar havia pedido afastamento por motivo de sa\u00fade por 120 dias. Diogo e outras sete pessoas se tornaram r\u00e9us em processos que resultaram da opera\u00e7\u00e3o Fura-fila, deflagrada pelo Minist\u00e9rio P\u00fablico em 2020. No ano seguinte, em abril, o parlamentar foi preso em sua resid\u00eancia. Ele \u00e9 suspeito de encabe\u00e7ar um suposto esquema de fraudes no sistema de marca\u00e7\u00e3o de consultas e exames do SUS. O vereador ficou preso durante nove meses e retornou \u00e0s suas atividades ap\u00f3s o encerramento do per\u00edodo de afastamento. O parlamentar utiliza tornozeleira eletr\u00f4nica por decis\u00e3o da ju\u00edza Manoela Barbosa, da 2\u00aa Vara de Parnamirim. O intuito da decis\u00e3o \u00e9 garantir que o vereador n\u00e3o tenha nenhum contato com as pessoas envolvidas na investiga\u00e7\u00e3o, sejam testemunhas ou r\u00e9us.
