Uma mulher trans que estuprou duas mulheres antes de mudar de g\u00eanero n\u00e3o cumprir\u00e1 senten\u00e7a em uma pris\u00e3o feminina na Esc\u00f3cia.<\/strong>
Isla Bryson foi levada para a pris\u00e3o feminina de Cornton Vale depois de ser condenada por cometer os estupros quando ainda era identificada como homem, com o nome Adam Graham.
Os estupros aconteceram em 2016 e 2019. Bryson decidiu fazer a transi\u00e7\u00e3o enquanto aguardava o julgamento.
No entanto, a premi\u00ea da Esc\u00f3cia, Nicola Sturgeon, disse que Bryson n\u00e3o ficar\u00e1 presa em Cornton Vale.
Bryson deve receber sua pena de pris\u00e3o no pr\u00f3ximo m\u00eas – e a pris\u00e3o onde essa senten\u00e7a ser\u00e1 cumprida tem gerado debates acalorados.
A premi\u00ea escocesa citou o diretor da entidade Rape Crisis, que trabalha contra o estupro. Sturgeon disse que n\u00e3o entende como seria poss\u00edvel ter uma estupradora dentro de uma pris\u00e3o feminina.
Referindo-se diretamente ao caso, Sturgeon confirmou: “Esta prisioneira n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 encarcerada na pris\u00e3o feminina de Cornton Vale.”
Ela disse que qualquer prisioneiro que represente um risco de ofensa sexual \u00e9 mantido separado de outros prisioneiros.
“N\u00e3o h\u00e1 direito autom\u00e1tico para uma mulher trans condenada por um crime cumprir sua pena em uma pris\u00e3o feminina, mesmo que tenha um certificado de reconhecimento de g\u00eanero”, disse. “Cada caso est\u00e1 sujeito a uma avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de risco individual rigorosa e a seguran\u00e7a de outros prisioneiros \u00e9 fundamental.”

A reforma prev\u00ea que prisioneiras trans com partes \u00edntimas masculinas, ou as condenadas por crimes sexuais, n\u00e3o sejam mantidas em pris\u00f5es femininas, exceto em casos “verdadeiramente excepcionais”.
Bryson, de 31 anos, disse ao tribunal que sabia que era transg\u00eanero aos quatro anos de idade, mas que decidiu fazer a transi\u00e7\u00e3o aos 29 anos. Ela est\u00e1 tomando horm\u00f4nios e pretende fazer uma cirurgia para fazer a mudan\u00e7a de sexo.
