Com a altera\u00e7\u00e3o, passar\u00e1 a ser aplicada ao tributo uma al\u00edquota \u00fanica nacional, cobrada em reais por quilo.<br>No caso do g\u00e1s, a al\u00edquota ser\u00e1 de R$ 1,2571 por quilo, ou seja, no botij\u00e3o de 13 quilos o imposto ficar\u00e1 em R$ 16,34, R$ 2,11 superior \u00e0 m\u00e9dia atual, segundo dados do Sindig\u00e1s, que representa empresas respons\u00e1veis por 99% da distribui\u00e7\u00e3o nacional do combust\u00edvel. Para o consumidor, o aumento do botij\u00e3o deve ser de, em m\u00e9dia, 11,9%.<br><br>Por\u00e9m, como cada estado possu\u00eda al\u00edquotas diferentes antes da mudan\u00e7a, o impacto a ser sentido em cada unidade da federa\u00e7\u00e3o ser\u00e1 variado. Enquanto alguns registrar\u00e3o altas acentuadas do imposto, como os R$ 7,49 a mais por botij\u00e3o em Mato Grosso do Sul, outros ter\u00e3o redu\u00e7\u00e3o, como em Santa Catarina, com queda de R$ 4,39.<br>As novas regras para o ICMS eram defendidas pelo setor de combust\u00edveis por facilitar a cobran\u00e7a do imposto e coibir fraudes com a compra de produtos em estados com menor carga tribut\u00e1ria para venda naqueles onde o pre\u00e7o \u00e9 mais alto.
