Depois de explicar sua condi\u00e7\u00e3o para a mulher, ela disse que n\u00e3o se importava e que ele simplesmente deveria parar de olhar para ela. \u201cEu sou cego. O fato aconteceu em 2022 por\u00e9m gerou repercuss\u00e3o agora ap\u00f3s amea\u00e7a de processo.


Pete Gustin \u00e9 um ator americano reconhecido pela dublagem, mas suas facetas mais conhecidas s\u00e3o as de surfista, patinador e esquiador aqu\u00e1tico.
Ele ainda tem um canal no YouTube chamado \u201cBlind Surfer Pete Gustin\u201d, onde compartilha suas aventuras esportivas, responde perguntas de seus seguidores e compartilha hist\u00f3rias sobre seu cotidiano sendo um homem cego.

Em um dos v\u00eddeos mais comentados de Pete, ele contou uma experi\u00eancia que viveu em uma academia. Ele conta que se concentrava em trabalhar seus m\u00fasculos, quando ouviu algu\u00e9m se aproximar dele.
\u201cEstava parado fazendo uma puxada de tr\u00edceps e como n\u00e3o enxergo, apenas olhava para o espa\u00e7o enquanto fazia minhas coisas. No meio de uma s\u00e9rie, comecei a ouvir passos que pareciam estar vindo em minha dire\u00e7\u00e3o e se aproximavam cada vez mais\u201d , disse ele no v\u00eddeo.
Os passos eram de uma mulher que estava irritada porque n\u00e3o queria que Pete olhasse para ela, sem saber realmente sua condi\u00e7\u00e3o.

\u201cAt\u00e9 que de repente esta mulher est\u00e1 na minha frente dizendo \u2018eu n\u00e3o vim aqui para ser olhada\u2019. \u2018Oh, me desculpe, eu sou cego\u2019, eu disse a ela\u201d, detalhou Pete no v\u00eddeo. Uma explica\u00e7\u00e3o que poderia corrigir o desconforto causado, mas acabou sendo um detalhe insignificante para a mulher.
Pete contou ainda que a mulher lhe disse que n\u00e3o se importava com sua situa\u00e7\u00e3o e ordeou que ele parasse de olhar para ela. Ele saiu e procurou para o gerente, a quem mostrou sua identifica\u00e7\u00e3o para provar que ele \u00e9 cego, mas sua resposta tamb\u00e9m o desconcertou.

\u201cTudo bem, mas ainda assim voc\u00ea n\u00e3o pode deixar os outros frequentadores da academia desconfort\u00e1veis olhando para eles\u201d, disse o gerente. Diante disso, Pete n\u00e3o conseguiu chegar a uma conclus\u00e7ao sobre como ele pode evitar olhar para as outras pessoas se ele n\u00e3o sabe exatamente onde eles v\u00e3o estar.
\u201cEu sou cego. Se voc\u00ea sabe o que essas duas palavras significam, ent\u00e3o voc\u00ea \u00e9 muito mais inteligente do que a garota que gritou comigo na academia.\u201d, disse Pete.
