Segundo Greta, ela foi for\u00e7ada a agir dessa maneira por conta da crise clim\u00e1tica.<br>A ativista ficou famosa no mundo inteiro em 2018, ao faltar no col\u00e9gio \u00e0s sextas-feiras para cobrar a\u00e7\u00f5es pelo clima diante do Parlamento da Su\u00e9cia, em Estocolmo.<br>Desde ent\u00e3o, Greta fez centenas de greves no \u00faltimo dia \u00fatil da semana e deu in\u00edcio a um movimento global juvenil em defesa do meio ambiente, chamado Fridays for Future (Sextas-Feiras pelo Futuro).
