A iniciativa foi de proposi\u00e7\u00e3o do vereador Eribaldo Medeiros (REDE), autor do projeto de lei que reconheceu a roda de samba como patrim\u00f4nio cultural imaterial de Natal, conforme a Lei n\u00ba 7.815, publicada no Di\u00e1rio Oficial do Munic\u00edpio em 17 de janeiro de 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O vereador destacou a import\u00e2ncia do evento para a valoriza\u00e7\u00e3o das identidades culturais do samba, o incentivo \u00e0 participa\u00e7\u00e3o da sociedade civil e a divulga\u00e7\u00e3o da m\u00fasica potiguar. Al\u00e9m disso, refor\u00e7ou o papel da Segunda de Vagabundo na transmiss\u00e3o de conhecimento entre mestres e jovens sambistas, garantindo a continuidade do g\u00eanero na cidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Criada em mar\u00e7o de 2022, a Segunda de Vagabundo acontece todas as segundas-feiras no cruzamento das ruas Pereira Sim\u00f5es e Donzelas, no bairro das Rocas, zona leste da capital. Com acesso gratuito, o evento se tornou um ponto de encontro para m\u00fasicos, compositores e apreciadores do samba, promovendo a produ\u00e7\u00e3o autoral de artistas locais e reunindo um p\u00fablico diverso, formado por jovens, adultos e idosos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um dos fundadores da roda de samba, Carlinhos Cruz, relembrou como o projeto surgiu de forma espont\u00e2nea, a partir da reuni\u00e3o de amigos que, em suas folgas \u00e0s segundas-feiras, decidiram se encontrar para confraternizar. Com o tempo, o grupo cresceu, atraiu a comunidade e se transformou em um evento fixo na cidade. &#8220;O movimento come\u00e7ou de forma org\u00e2nica, em dois meses eram seis ou sete pessoas reunidas, e aquilo foi ganhando forma. A comunidade comprou a ideia, foi chegando mais gente, e a cada semana aumenta mais. A gente fica muito feliz com essa participa\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221;, afirmou.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">O sambista Debinha Ramos, outro fundador da roda de samba, destacou a trajet\u00f3ria do evento e a satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o com o reconhecimento da C\u00e2mara Municipal. Para ele, a Segunda de Vagabundo se tornou uma refer\u00eancia do samba no Rio Grande do Norte e vem ganhando visibilidade em outras regi\u00f5es do pa\u00eds. &#8220;No come\u00e7o, era uma resenha de amigos. A gente se reunia, fazia um samba, conversava, e assim foi crescendo. Hoje, \u00e9 uma roda reconhecida, e essa homenagem mostra que resistimos e mantemos esse projeto vivo&#8221;, declarou. Ele tamb\u00e9m revelou planos de expandir a estrutura do evento para dar mais conforto ao p\u00fablico e anunciou que o grupo pretende lan\u00e7ar m\u00fasicas autorais em breve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Durante a sess\u00e3o solene, foram homenageadas 18 pessoas, entre m\u00fasicos sambistas e parceiros do projeto. O vereador Eribaldo Medeiros destacou que a roda de samba representava mais do que um evento musical, sendo um movimento social e pol\u00edtico que fortalece a identidade cultural de Natal. Para ele, o patrim\u00f4nio imaterial transmitido de gera\u00e7\u00e3o em gera\u00e7\u00e3o fortalece o sentimento de pertencimento da comunidade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;A homenagem na C\u00e2mara Municipal reafirmou a relev\u00e2ncia da Segunda de Vagabundo como s\u00edmbolo da resist\u00eancia cultural e do fortalecimento do samba potiguar&#8221;, comemorou Debinha Ramos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A secret\u00e1ria municipal de Cultura, Iracy Azevedo, ressaltou a for\u00e7a cultural da Segunda de Vagabundo e sua import\u00e2ncia para a cidade. Para ela, o evento cresceu a partir de suas ra\u00edzes na comunidade e tem potencial para se tornar um dos principais atrativos culturais da cidade. &#8220;Estamos trabalhando junto com a Secretaria Municipal de Turismo para transformar esse projeto em ponto tur\u00edstico de Natal&#8221;, contou a secret\u00e1ria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Os vereadores Herberth Sena (PV) e
