O aconselhamento, acatado pelo governo, foi feito pelo Comit\u00ea Conjunto de Vacina\u00e7\u00e3o e Imuniza\u00e7\u00e3o (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/government\/groups\/joint-committee-on-vaccination-and-immunisation#conflict-of-interests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JCVI &#8211; The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation<\/a>), que envolve diversos pesquisadores e professores de importantes universidades, como a de Oxford, de Bristol, de Warwick e do Imperial College London, entre outras entidades de renome brit\u00e2nicas.<br>A decis\u00e3o dos cientistas analisou os riscos, os benef\u00edcios e decidiu contra a inocula\u00e7\u00e3o em massa, restringindo a vacina\u00e7\u00e3o em duas condi\u00e7\u00f5es: crian\u00e7as que fazem parte do grupo cl\u00ednico de risco ou que possuem contatos domiciliares com indiv\u00edduos imunossuprimidos. <br>&#8220;No momento atual, o JCVI considera que o balan\u00e7o de potenciais benef\u00edcios e malef\u00edcios \u00e9 a favor de oferecer a vacina\u00e7\u00e3o para crian\u00e7as de 5 a 11 anos que est\u00e3o em grupo cl\u00ednico de risco&#8221;
